The workshop will be hosted by the Department of Political Economy at the University of Sydney with funding from various sources including the Department of Political Economy itself as well as from the Department of Sociology and Social Policy the School of Social and Political Sciences and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences within the University of Sydney.
The workshop will be held 15-16 August 2014 in Sydney and both Professor Sandra Halperin (Royal Holloway University of London), author of War and Social Change in Modern Europe: The Great Transformation Revisited, and Professor Philip Mirowski (University of Notre Dame), author of Never Let a Serious Crisis Go to Waste: How Neoliberalism Survived the Social Meltdown, have been confirmed as initial keynote plenary speakers.
Conference registration for this event is merely A$100 (waged) and A$50 (unwaged) with travel and accommodation to be funded by the participants themselves. Further details on accommodation, registration, and abstract submission for paper proposals should be sent to: Bonnie.Kelly@sydney.edu.au.
